On Driving In Foggy Days

Hint:

•   Due to urban traffic situation, keep enough vehicle space, do not switch carriage way frequently and optionally, pay attention to the situation from back and front, alter carriage rapidly when changing.

•   Avoid long-time driving on the yellow line. Keep sufficient vehicle safe space to prevent accident happening due to short stadia, low visibility and vehicle slippage caused by lowered braking performance because of damp and slippery road full of water.

•   Switch on fog light or rear fog signal lamp to show object, switch on alarm light if necessary. don’t drive in the center of road in hazy day, and also don’t drive on the yellow line, or else it will be very dangerous when vehicles encounter. Besides, don’t switch on high beam light because the light line is powerful and could be reflected to driver making sight gets faint. keep windshield clear, use screenwiper to make sight better.

•   Don’t drive fast blindly. Especially when driving on the road without isolation belt or annular island in the centre, some lower roadblock can’t be found because of the long distance while it’s absolutely late to take action when they are near. Hence, view should be more wide, observe road condition carefully, on your guard and drive at low speed, if the fog (same for rainy or snow days ) effects your sight, keep vehicle velocity under 30km/h , the heavier the fog is, the shorter the view distance is, and the lower your vehicle velocity must be.
