The 14th stage: Zhou Yong delivered congratulations to all the Chinese drivers

After two over 700 km’s stages of long and arduous journey in succession comes the last stage of the Dakar Rally - the 14th stage from Santa Rosa to Buenos Aires. 206 km as the special only acts as a dot in the long journey.

For the Chinese drivers the biggest goal is to finish the race. That’s the reason why everyone keeps sedate in today’s stage. “We’ll drive faster if the situation allows. Whereas, we try to maintain the pace most of the time, for we have the established goal that the dragon chariot must finish the race.” said Zhou Yong at the start in the morning. In fact, he did as what he said. In this stage Zhou Yong achieved the 27th stage ranking, and ranked 33rd in the overall standings.

At the end of the Dakar Rally Zhou Yong delivered his congratulations to all the Chinese drivers in the same boat. “Firstly I congratulate Lu Ningjun on the breakthrough that he had made, also congratulate Jiang Yaohuan and Zhu Jinzhong on their well completion of the race for the first Dakar and the good results that they had achieved. I’m really pleased that so many Chinese drivers participated in the Rally, and demonstrate the strong potential of Chinese people in the most brutal and challenging race event in the world. I believe that in the future Chinese drivers will not only aim to finish the race, but to achieve the good result. ” said Zhou Yong after he parked his chariot in the closed parking lot.
